The Diversity Preview Weekend (DPW) at Cornell University is a graduate student-led initiative aimed at closing gaps in access to graduate programs for underrepresented minority students, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, in the life sciences at Cornell and across the nation.

DPW is a collaboration among graduate students from the Departments of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Entomology, and the School of Integrative Plant Sciences.

Founded in 2016, DPW recruits around 40 students a year across the nation from underrepresented backgrounds for a two-day graduate school preview event comprised of
networking opportunities, professional development workshops, campus and facilities tours, and familiarization with the graduate school application process.
